Not all rape victims automatically abort their child. Some do choose adoption and some realize that it's still their baby who did nothing wrong and love their child. If I did make a difference and saved a baby from being murdered, I would help every way I could. That would be a blessing.
May God Bless you.

There are many couples waiting out there for children that cannot have any of their own- I am an example of a child that could have been aborted but my birth mom chose life for me. Also I have 2 teenagers now that actually could have been aborted as well- their birth moms were pressured to abort but they also chose to place their children for adoption- because we could not have own either. Those of us who are against abortion may or may not have the financial status to adopt at that time either- however it is not right to kill. Do you understand that it is not just a blob of tissue- it is life from the moment of conception- you want scientific proof there is plenty- did you know that the baby's heart is beating at 3 weeks after conception-and that is before the woman knows she is pregnant- plus to the woman herself there are risks-physical, emotional and spiritual.
About the rape issue- it is a sad and hard thing here- but it still comes down to the fact that the baby is a baby- I know of at least 2 women who carried their babies after a rape and both placed for adoption. The baby is innocent in this whole thing- resent the rapist not the baby. Killing is ok, if you cannot raise the child? If someone who gave birth to a child and realized somewhere down the road that they could not either for some reason and chose to kill the child- that would be murder. Just because abortion is legal does not make it right.

After you help a woman get an abortion will you be there and eliminate the guilt and sadness she feels for the rest of her live? I have a friend who is still, after 12 years depressed and on meds from having had an abortion. She simply can't cope with life and takes everything bad that happens to her as a punishment. She lives in constant torture.
There is adoption for one. My best friend adopted two babies a few years back. Both were drug babies and the mother could have cared less. They are now in a loving home. Thinking they could've been aborted kills me. We love them so much. Do they remind us of their mother's behavior? No, we love them for who they are. There are women who have had a baby from being raped and love the child, simply because it's their child and not the rapist. Some conceive voluntarily, have a baby with some guy, and still mistreat the child, beat it, hate it for whatever reason. It is how a person feels about having children. If you love them, you love them, no matter the circumstances. And if you don't you won't.
And where in this is the repercussion from having become pregnant through voluntary sex? If a girl has no money, then she shouldn't have had sex in the first place. To abort, because of financial problems is the worst excuse.
If you were the result of a rape, would you have wanted to be killed?

Very few abortions are in the case of rape. Fewer than half of 1% of women cite rape as the reason for wanting an abortion. Of course if I saved a baby that was the result of rape, I would help the mother find help to deal with her situation. I am not qualified to do so myself, but I would help her find someone who is.
I also would help someone with financial difficulties find the help she needs as well. I personally could not help, because I have financial difficulties myself, but I would help her get financial assistance.
God bless,

Disclaimer: This answer assumes that the mother's life and safety are not in risk when considering the pregnancy.
Who the hell is so damn selfish as to kill a child just because she doesn't want to spend nine months being pregnant?
Who says she has to keep the child? If she is willing to kill it, then she obviously isn't that attached to it. Why not give it up for adoption? There is a huge waiting list of couples who can't have kids...
"Resenting the child" and "not having the financial resources" are the stupidest, lamest, most selfish excuses ever for not wanting a kid. None of them are valid if you consider adoption, and at that point, it all boils down to not wanting to deal with the pregnancy.

I give to many children's charities and orphanages. Killing the baby is not the answer. The answer is responsibility. If one can not financially support a child, one should take the proper steps to ensure she does not get pregnant in the first place. If one has been raped, she should report it and go to the hospital and can receive the proper care. If she fails to report the rape and get the proper medical treatment who's fault is it? Not the childs

I am pro life, but I don't believe a fetus is a life. It is POTENTIALLY a life, but not yet a child. Not until it can exist outside of its mother. So I've never understood the whole debate about abortion. Sounds to me like arguing that every period we have is murder, because that egg could potentially form a child. Or every sperm a man allows out of his body could be considered murder too.
Biological degrees of difference aside, I am definitely pro-choice. I think it's a decision that noone but the woman involved should have any right to opine about. I believe a child should only be brought into the world with love, not by accident. I think the human race would be far more evolved if this were the case. However she got pregnant is irrelevant really. Generations shouldn't have to pay for one mistake.

Absolutely. I had a niece that was almost aborted and I thank God she wasn't.
I have a friend that was raped and pregnant with twins....I was helping her look for parents to adopt her twins when she was in a bad car accident and the babies were killed.
God loves all kids and I can and do help where I can.

The woman that is raped always has the option of adoption.
The woman in poverty had the option of birth controlbefore she had sex or abstinence . Society should not be expected to carry the burden of poor people's poor choices.
It is time that we place the burden of responsibility where it belongs and stop trying to make others feel guilty for the bad choices/behavior of the few.

if you live in a city more than 100 years old, there's probably at least one hospital founded by Catholic nuns to help people free of charge. If there's a hospital called Grace, it was probably founded by Salvation Army members. There are probably homes for unwed mothers, Birthright chapters for helping them, St Vincent de Paul and Philoptochos Societies for helping the poor, etc. So I guess the anwer is yes, because we think we have to.
