I need to know that if I take my female labrador to get spayed, will she still keep bleeding at that time every 6 months when she would normally be in heat, or will she not bleed? And if she will still atract male dogs home or if a male dog gets to her is it posible for her to get pregnant again even with the operation? Any Info. will be very much appreciated!

Once a dog is spayed there is no more bleeding. It is the same as a woman having a hysterectomy. Spay is when they take her uterus out. She will not bleed, nor will she attract males dogs or be able to get pregnant. She will also, most likely, put on weight so watch how you feed her.

No more bleeding, coming into heat, or ability to get pregnant. In spaying you remove BOTH the ovaries and the uterus. So there is no place for a pregnancy to form, and the ovaries that emit the hormones that cause the heat cycle are not there. It is the removal of the ovaries that benefits the dog in preventing breast cancers, behavior problems, etc. A lab is a difficult spay... so use some experienced instead of some "low-cost" assembly line type of surgical operation. And definately try not to have her spayed when she is already in heat. All of that adds risks (and cost) to the procedure.

No, it will stop everything. No more bleeding or going into heat. They will stay like a puppy longer too. Once they have a liter it totally changes their personalities. They go from pup to acting like a older dog. Keep them young and full of life without any messes and the worrys of other males coming around. Have them fixed.

After being spayed there will be no more bleeding or heat cycles. Males may show passing interest in her(maybe a quick sniff just to say hello) but they wont be able to breed her.

Spaying will stop all of that - the bleeding, the attracting male dogs and it will stop any chance of pregnancy. It is 100% effective because she won't have a uterus. It also prevents reproductive diseases such as uterine or mammary cancer.

It is not true that spaying will cause dogs to gain weight.

No your dog will NOT go into heat again, No she will NOT be able to get pregnant.
Spaying is a hysterectomy..complete removal of all reproductive organs.

no she will no longer bleed. no she cannot get pregnant. and if she attracts male dogs home it is not because they want to breed. it is probably something else. like they want to play.
