Well the first clue is if you are feeling that way then you probably have picked up some clues that you may or may not be conciously aware of that things are coming to an end.

But on the whole, the person will close off to you in many ways. Body language will say closed - arms and legs crossed around you, not looking you in the eyes, staying physically distant from you, staying away from you as much as possible, covering their mouth with their hand when they talk to you.

They stop sharing their day-to-day life with you and when forced to answer a question they do so giving out the least amount of information as possible. They start acting secretive and sneaky.

You might notice that they seem to be spending more on groceries or daily expenses. Sometimes they are, but more often then not this is a cover for hiding money away for when they end the relationship.

You stop seeing friends and relatives as couple. You stop going anywhere as a couple.

You stop being affectionate with one another. Sex stops or becomes totally void of feelings - just mechanical and something you do before you go to sleep. They avoid kissing you.

There are many signs, but if you feel something is wrong it's a pretty good indication that there is in fact something wrong.

The calls taper off, they show lack of interest, come up with excuses not to see you, cancel plans, etc......in my case, most recently, my boyfriend deliberately pushed me to the point where I had to break up with him so that he wouldn't have to carry the burden of the breakup.
