they just can't get pregnant so he sends for the vet who suggests to the farmer that the only way may be artificial insemination.
being a simple irish farmer, he has no real idea what this means, but figures that he must do the job himself. so the next day he rounds up all his pigs into the truck and drives them all out to the woods where he spends the day giving them a good seeing to in an attempt to get them pregnant. at the end of the day he drives them back to the farm.
the next day he tests the sows for pregnancy and they all test negative, so he loads them back into the truck and takes them back to the woods for another session. ever determined he does this again on the thursday and the friday, before, utterly exhausted, he falls asleep.
the next day, the farmer is awoken by his wife. 'what is it?' he says, 'let me sleep, it's saturday!'
'it's the pigs!' she says. 'what about them?' says the farmer. 'they're all in the truck and one of them's beeping the horn!'
