If by CKC you mean the Continental Kennel Club or the Canine Kennel Club...then please don't bother to "register" them or even advertise them as registered. These "registries" are not legit..they are what is known as scam registries.

The CKC is a generic form of the AKC. CKC is not as strict on what dogs can be registered as the AKC is and that is why most people register their dogs with the CKC. What you should do is consider how much you spend on vet care, shots and food on the mother during her pregnancy and on the puppies to get them ready for their new homes. Divide that amount by how many puppies you have to sell and then go from there. Generally I have found that poodles sell from $400 to $800 depending on if there are championship blood lines and how many shots they have and what kind of vet care they received.

The breeder I buy from sold us a male mini for $700 (down from $900 because he was 6 months old) and a female mini for $1200. However, she has 50 years of breeding experience and her dogs regularly win shows. For example, her dog (a half-brother to our male) won Best of Opposite Sex at Westminster this year. She also DNA tests all of her dogs, so we can be as sure as possible that our puppies will be free of hereditary defects. CKC registration doesn't add any value because the standards are not high enough. I think you will be lucky to recoup what you spend on the dogs, although smaller dogs are popular right now, which may help you to sell. Remember if they don't sell by the time they are about 4 months old you'll have to start dropping the price. If you really want to get into dog breeding, I'd suggest contacting the AKC. AKC registration helps to ensure quality dogs and you'll be able to list your dogs on their website, which is frequented by many, many people looking for dogs.
