Unfortunately it's normal. Unless your output is as great as your input, you will always weigh more at night. Your body needs time to extract the nutrients from your intake of food/liquids. It takes 24 - 48 hours for body to process. Sounds like you are doing all the right things.

Why would you want to prevent it??? . It's not fat that you gained and I doubt that you have to go up a dress size in the evening.
Weight fluctuates by 5lb for everyone not just you.
You have to drink eat least 8 cups of water a day you have eat to live and that all contributes to the those extra 5 lbs but you have sweat you have to urinate you have number 2 so come the morning it will be gone again.
If you want to stop it then dont put anything in your mouth.

A human's body weight varies from 4 to 7 pounds every day.
Generally, this weight change is water related. We are a few
pounds lighter in the mornings because we perspire during
the night and our bodies continue to metabilize and function
while we sleep, using water in our system. Normally, when we
first rise in the morning, we use the toilet and eliminate all the
wastes from the body that accumulated at night.
Then, throughout the day, we consume various liquids because our body "tells" us we are thirsty. Therefore, we gain
a few pounds back again. But all of this change in weight is
directly related to water.

It is what it is, no matter WHAT you drink. It's water AND food weight, from an entire day of eating and drinking. Your only true weight is at least several hours after no eating and drinking and after satisfy your urge to use a bathroom; that's why it's recommended you only weigh yourself first thing in the morning after using the bathroom but before ingesting anything.
You cannot prevent it. Food and drink has weighted mass. It's not "fat" weight on your part.

our weight constantly fluctuates during the day, or even from day to day. think of the food that may be in your system still from eating during the day, the water your body is using. Too much sodium intake can cause a person to retain some water. Don't worry about these slight fluctuations at all - they are normal. if you are trying to measure your weight loss - try taking actual measurements of your body - around the waist, etc - those measurements wont "lie". take them like once a week, or once every other week. the scale "lies" to us, and deceives us (with all its little changes) - don't use it as an absolute way to measure your success!

Yes this is water weight, and you can't do anything about this fluctuation, your body is made up mostly of water, and sometimes you have more of it! Don't worry about it!
