Ever hear the saying, "Don't stick your pen in the company ink?" That doesn't really work in your case, but still...business and personal relationships usually don't mix and might go wrong.
Not to mention, you have never seen this guy. I don't mean to sound shallow, but you don't know if you would be attracted to him.
I say 'no' because of what I mentioned above. However, if the conversation was really "that good", then call back with your guard up.

CAAALL HIIIM RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!!
Six years ago, I used to train in a company. One night I called at 4am to leave an answer on the answering machine, but this really sweet voice answered. I was surprised. She told me she was help desk for Europe and Asia and worked nights. We talked for over two hours that night, and the next, then the next. A week later we met. Now we have two kids!
What are you doing reading this? Go call him!!!!!!

I would call him but not for that reason only.
I would wait until you need to call the company.
Alternatively, I would make something up relative to the matter you spoke about.
Then you could sneak a private conversation.
That way, you would not appear desperate.
Good Luck!

Why bother? Sounds like there won't be a much a conversation because you'll say 'you go fisrt, then he'll say 'no you go first', etc, etc .... you could be on the phonefor awhile with not much said .. maybe you should just keep 'in touch with yourself'

sure, why not?? If things progress though, just be careful about how much personal information you give him (location of your office, apartment, favorite restaurant, gym etc) and if you make plans to meet make sure to meet him in a public place, during the day, and with a friend. it might be wise to even have a friend scope him out first to make sure he is who he says he is... (ie not some creepy old man)
you can never be too careful!!

I personally wouldnt but I can see why you'd want to. Wait for a least two weeks before you call back. You dont want to come off desperate or like a stalker!

What have you got to lose. Nothing. If you don't like him once you meet up its not like its someone who you are going to meet all the time e.g via work. Go for it! You never know whats around the corner. Good luck!
