First if all dogs do not molt the shed. All dogs with hair shed at least a little. But the terrier type dogs
and some of the shorthaired breed do not shed as much as many other types of dogs. Also, the "hairless" dogs have very little to shed! But they are some very strange breeds though. The American Kennel Club and a number of other pet interest websites have information on all the breeds, including the amount of shedding you can expect. he best ting to do is click on a breed and read up on it, and do your research. You can also try the other link below to help you pick the right breed for you. Good Luck! :)

Most people know that poodles, as well as some terriers don't shed. Two dogs that I can think of that not only don't shed, but are good if you have a dog allergy are wheaton terrier and Portuguese water dog. The wheaton is a sandy colour, and the water dog is usually black. Check with your local vet, and they should be able to give you some direction as to the size of each breed when it is full grown too. Then contact reputable breeders for one that suits you. Good luck.

How about short haired breeds, like terriers? Maybe not a pit bull, if you're looking for a smaller dog, but how about a Jack Russell, or a Schnauzer? Fox terriers and Cairn terriers don't shed hardly at all. I assume that's what you mean by "moult".

long hared dogs don't moult, although you have the expense of keeping their hair groomed or cut. Yorkies don't moult, they are small and absolutley gorgeous. I have a yorkie and a dalmation, an although i keep my yorkie's hair short it's miles easier than my moulting dalmy. Other long haired small breeds include, maltese, papillion, cavalier king charles, king charles, poodles, lasa apso, shih tzu etc, visit kennel clubs website for more small long haired breeds.
