As I am presenty planning my escape route from my ex-girlfriend, should I just let her come home to an empty house, or rip into her why I am leaving(got sick of someone who turned into a patented complaint machine).

Any suggestions for this goodbye?

If your truly leaving you owe her a reason for your exit. If its really not salvagable just leave and move on. Revenge or hurtfulness is really not necessary.

I realise that the love has gone and she is a 'complaint machine' but does she really deserve a totally cruel goodbye?
I would tell her, without going on and on, that you feel the relationship is no longer working for you and that you are leaving.
Don't let it be a slagging match.
She is obviously not happy in the relationship either or else she wouldn't be complaining all the time.
Either leave while she's away or wait until she's home but either way I don't think it's necessary to 'rip into her' because the fact that you are leaving will sum it all up!
Be the better person.

i've been in a similar situation, with me being the woman!!!To be honest i hadnt even realised that i had turned into 'a complaint machine'.and most women dont. But I think if you cant handle it, then the least you can do for her is let her know why you are leaving [go easy!!]. Not only will it help her work on her weaknesses but it will also give her closure.
In the process you may even find out things from her that you do wrong and that may have contributed to the situation and from which you can learn and avoid in your next relationship. And just because someone may have let you down, it doesnt give you the right to hurt or treat them badly....face the situation head on and you will be respected for it.

Come on dont be that cruel, just let her know, "Hey dude listen I can't take it anymore and Im leaving" Just Explain why you leaving so she wont be looking lost and dumb founded and then she will probably go on doing the same thing to the next guy because no one ever told her she complains alot.

Just tell her and then leave her, but in a nice way. Who knows may after you tell her she might consider her ways and you all can work it out, but thats only if you want to try again or move on.

Hope that was helpful.

The ball is in your court! Why should you care what she thinks since she has changed into a complaint machine. If she loved you, she would want to display love by being happy and smiling about everything. When your not happy with a person you need to move on. She sounds as though she isn't happy either. Do what you feel you should do to get out ! Cocoa

You should definitely tell her why you are leaving. It's only fair that you let her know so that she can do some soul searching and fix her problems so that she can have a healthy functioning relationship in the future. I think that you would owe her that much but stand your ground and leave if that's what's healthiest for you.

Yeah plenty, Your gonna be o.k. but do you think she is, Even if you don't care Spare her damn feelings. It's going to crush her, even if she is a patented complaint machine. Make this as easy as possible you both are going to go through a huge change

Just leave...leave a note with the reason but don't rip into her. Later she will call and you can do it then if you want but you must of loved her at one point so save her some grief-just leave.

i think you should just tell her because thats kinda mean no matter how much of a complaint machine she is.just think if you came home expecting to see your gf and instead you come home to a half empty house..you wouldnt be hurt??not even a little?
