Would two boys go get on?
What should you look for in a pedigree when buying one, an adult. i.e body shape. Do they need Hip and eye scores etc

Pugs are known as the clown breed. They always seem to have a way to make you smile. From their cute bug eyes down to their curly tail they are wonderful pets and are always wanted to please their owner. They are also smart and easy to train. They do have shorter snouts so they can have breathing problems but most of those are easily fixed.

I just got my first Pug about a week ago....she's the best dog I've ever had! Is already learning to go outside potty...lays on the sofa with me in the evenings....lays at my feet while I'm doing my hair in the morning...she's very devoted already, even after only 1 week......She's just a GREAT dog! I also have a beagle....(good dog too)...they get along well...and I have kids....she plays with them and is not at all agressive...I would highly recommend a Pug for a pet!! don't have any idea what to tell you to look for if your wanting one that's show quality..but, as for a family pet....find one that best matches your personality......Good Luck!

Pugs make great pets because they have awesome personalities, they get along well with other dogs, and they like people... big and small.
I have a 1 yr old black female named Stellaluna and my parents have a 14 yr old fawn male. Males can be a lil hard to potty train and girls can be sassy at times, but everything else about them makes those facts seem like peanuts.
They don't really suffer from "breathing problems"... they just have a short nasal passage and they do snore alot. But, so does my Boxer and my Rottie. :o)

I have 2 black boys pugs & they get on fabulous together, Lennox is 19 months old & Tiger is 9 months old, they are totally best friends. Pugs are a brilliant breed of dogs, so friendly with everybody & so intelligent. Pugs follow you round every where you go their always by your side. They do snore very loudly but their worth all the noise they make & much, much more, their adorable sole mates...........

They make good pets because they have great temperaments.Whether they are for someone old or very young. My children and I have many allergies, and our pug doesn't bother us at all. Pugs also have very short hair so you don't have to worry about shedding overmuch. Their small size also makes them portable and fun. We love ours very much!

They are extremely people-oriented
Laid-back and easygoing
Great with kids
"Big dog in a small package"
Aren't big barkers, diggers, or chewers
There is a very simple procedure that can be done to correct the elongated palate; this can be done when they are being fixed and it makes a huge difference in helping them breathe better.

They are known as their owners shadow. They love to have attention.
Yes they have short noses so it makes it harder for them to breath...snoring at night.
They shed. (More common in the fawn pugs)
But they are loving and good around other pets and children. They aren't huge barkers and did I mention attention grabbers?!
