I'm leaving for work in a few minutes then will probably sit on here the rest of the day. I work on the front desk of a hotel. Yesterday, we had 7 check outs. Today doesn't promise to have many more. So, provided I get the cleaning done, and any other minor chores, I can sit on the internet when I have nothing else to do. The boss doesn't mind so long as he doesn't have anything for me to do and I may disappear for a few minutes at a time.

That will probably change when summer comes though.

I work at an architectural office, my job is mainly to answer phones, and it only rings a few times a day. I play on the internet the whole time I'm here usually. Occassionally my boss has other work for me.

I am at work, but as long as I get the job done, no one seems to care. A lot of the information I find here is useful to my work. I am a senior social case manager.

I am an english teacher (on some remote Greek island at the moment) and I give my kids TESTS so I can hang out at R&S. LOL. No really, only during recess I swear.

Yup. I'm a receptionist so when the phone doesn't ring, I'm bored stiff. I pretty much twirl on my chair all day trying to find ways to pass the time.

Lab Science.

I have to wait for test results to develop, gels to run, assays to...um...assay.

Lab science is 10% working 500X harder than everyone else and 90% waiting for the 10% to happen.

I am! I'm an HR assistant. Some days are crazy-busy. Today, nobody needs to be hired, fired, disciplined, updated, etc.

I'm the IT projects manager for my company. So, pretty much, I'd be the one checking on whether employees are using the internet inappropriately at work. :)
