You need legal help. Open the yellow pages and hire an attorney. If you can't afford one file a petition with the court for a public defender, you will have to fill out details of your finances to prove you truly can't afford one.

Get a lawyer- best one you can afford. But my greatest advice to you is to be your own advocate and work on your defense just as much. You have to do a lot of research on your own time because lawyers don't always work as hard for you as you would like.

Public Defender or a lawyer if you have the resources. Not something to ignore unless you have "time" on your hands!
