I am going to NY in two weeks and I am not leaving without a piece of some NY pizza! I don't like the Chicago style thick-crust pizza. I want the kind that looks soggy and cheesy. I know it sounds gross, but that is my favorite kind of pizza :)

In Brooklyn: DiFara's on Avenue J and East 14th Street in Midwood; Totonno's on Neptune Avenue and 15th Street in Coney Island; Franny's on Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Place; L&B Spumoni Gardens on 86th Street in Bensonhurst; Nonna's (grandmother's) pie at Lenny's on 86th Street in Bensonhurst (still in business - the opening of Saturday Night Fever - John Travolta with a bucket of paint gets his pizza at Lenny's); Nonna pie at Papa's Pizza on Fifth Avenue and 83rd Street in Bay Ridge - (Grandmother's pie has extra thin, extra crispy crust); Elegante on Fifth Avenue and 69th Street in Bay Ridge

In Staten Island: Nunzio's Pizza

In Manhatta: Lombardi's on Spring Street in Soho (the only pizza in Manhattan I really like)

If you really love pizza, you might be interested in the Brooklyn Pizza tour - you get to eat at Patsy Grimaldi's and L&B Spumoni Gardens. You'll see a lot of Brooklyn - I don't know what other stops they make, but they go through various neighborhoods in Brooklyn and tell you a lot of history.

the finest pizza in the international is vast apple pizza. the 2d best is Chicago deep dish. Oddly adequate, inspite of the actuality that Italian in foundation, Italy had truly no longer made pizza for one hundred years. It replaced into re-imported from united states and the pizza they make there now might want to be more beneficial like the yankee than the Italian from one hundred years in the past.

I've answered this one recently, but will do it again just to keep pushing this pie:

Totonnos on Neptune Avenue. Crisp, not soggy, cooked in an 800 degree oven, thin crust, cheese, sauce.

There you go!
