Met this girl a friend of a friend a few months ago. Over time we grew to be friends and I started to want more than friendship from her. I thought the feeling was mutual but when I finally "put it on her" she insisted she only saw me as a friend. I was GUTTED. She has said she does flirt with me but she never wanted us to get to this place, now she sees me as a close friend and would hate to lose our friendship. What should I do?

Remain her friend and realize that some friends of the opposite sex don't want a romantic relationship.

I happens to us all. I see this girl as a player. I feel she has misled you. I would try to get her out of my mind, unless there is a reason for her to act this way. Does she have a boyfriend? Maybe she is not happy in the relationship she is in and doesn't want to be there. If this is the case some women will do some crazy things. If she is hanging on to an unhappy relationship, (for whatever reason) some women will reject you even if they have feelings for you. Some things are better left undone. Maybe she wants you for a friend until she loses the meantime boyfriend.

If you've told her how you feel and you've both been completely honest you need to just accept that she doesn't feel the same way. What you then need to think about is whether or not you can actually be just friends with this girl. If not it may be best to pull away and try to find someone else to take your mind off her. If you continue to be friends with her prepare for a really long journey o rollercoaster feelings. It's hard to be friends with someone you feel that way about ( Been there before)

You could continue to be friends but will you always be left wanting more? It might mess with your head a bit if you're spending time with her. I had a similar situation recently and decided that I should cool the friendship cause I really wanted more. Good luck x

You can't force any one to feel the way you do, if she is only ready for a friendship that's all you'll get, don't push it because that can push her away.
Friends are hard to come by, so be happy for what you've got, value and enjoy what you have and try to make it last.
Eventually she might feel a little different, who knows ?, patience pays. . . . . .

She has already made it very clear how she sees this friendship. Respect her wishes. Be content with having someone you very much as a close friend.

Throw your relationship into a new gear. Accept that it is only for friends, and look for new purrty girls to talk to, to flirt with, to date, and to kiss (or more). She might see you in a different light, or she might not. Either way, you´ll be happier with a companion that isn´t keeping you tied down to the dreaded ´FRIEND ZONE´ (ta ta ta ta).

You can still be friends if thats what you want but dont expect her to want more as she has been straight and told you and told you that friends is all you can be.

Good luck
