I'm talking about a place were you can sit ion the counter in the morn' and enjoy watching the guy prepare your hash brown with eggs any style ( sunny side up, over easy...) while the coffee is still served in a real heavy mug?

Cross the river. Go to New Jersey. They have diners all over the place. In my head, I can see ten or eleven of them along Route 22 between the airport (Newark) and Dunellen. New Jersey is famous for diners. They're everywhere!

Forgot the name, it's on 33rd street/9 ave, cross the street from B & H, great retro place.
