Was it committed by Eve, when she took the first bite of the fruit?

Or was it Adam, who watched as Eve took the first bite of the fruit, knowing it was wrong.

Adam and Eve are no more than spiritual metaphors. Basically the sin was disobeying God.
Eve gave Adam part of the apple.

The serpent(Satan/devil) told a lie in this scripture. Which was the first sin apparently.
Eve's disobeying God was the first human sinning.
The Bible doesn't state that Adam was present during the deception by the serpent. She did not ask for Adams guidance but apparently made the decision on her own to eat.

Genesis 3:4 - And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

The first sin, and some would say the only sin, was taking the focus off of God.

There is an argument that as long as one is focused on God, that person is not sinning. As soon as the focus shifts to something else, however, sin occurs.

As someone else said, Adam and Eve were symbols of humankind, so we technically don't know when the "first" sin occurred.

The first sin was commited by Eve when she ate the fruit, then Adam followed, they disobeyed the one and only rule that God gave them.

Well technically, Adam and Eve were sinners so we would not know what sin they committed first. They just were not aware of those sins, they had no knowledge of good and evil.Well, not until they took a bight of that fruit from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.

Sin with deception was punishable but God put most of the blame upon Adam as Adams sin was not by deception. Truly Eve in her heart didn't think she was doing wrong... Adams heart painted a different picture.

Remember that God looks into the heart of a person.

Neither. The Adam/Eve story was plagiarized off the tales of the Anannaki on the older Sumerian tablets. It's 'odd' Eve was male and the snake a good Anannaki trying to help the humans escape the capture and enslavement of these individuals in that region mining gold.

The only original sin is to think you have it.

Disobedience. God said to leave one thing alone in Eden, and our foreparents couldn't keep thier hands to themselves.

Yes, Eve acted first, but Adam was right there with her and he was the responsible party (Genesis 3).

The Bible also reckons sin as having come through the first man, and being resolved in Christ (the last Adam).

The following charges Adam with the start of it all:

"sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned... Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam..." (Romans 5:12,14).

I don't think Adam was there to watch. Eve had to convince Adam to do it. It's always the women bringing the men down.

It was committed by Satan who told the first lie in order to induce Eve to sin. Genesi 3:2-5
