Each way is really 2 bets:
You have therefore bet £10 to win & £10 for a place (i.e. a total bet of £20).
The horse came 3rd, so you win with the place bet @ 1/4 of the odds.
You win £62.50 + your original stake of £10.

The odds will be determined by how much money is bet on the race for horses to show. The 25:1 is only for the win bets.

Probably £72.50 pence. Its £62.5 plus the stake of £10 for the place. Depends on how many runners as well - if a small field may not pay out on third Don't let this get you hooked on gambling - in the long term the bookie wins

it depends on what type of race, if it was 1/4 of the odds it would be £72.50 or 1/5 odds £60.

£72.50. As your horse was placed you get quarter the odds, which is 6.25 x £10 = £62.50, plus your £10 stake back.
Congratulations!

Should work out, at around £73, I think! However, I think it might depend on HOW MANY PLACES the bookie's paying OUT on! Some pay on THREE, - whilst OTHERS pay on FOUR! Good LUCK, to you!
