I want to cover up my concrete patio with some sort of stone work. What is the best way to go? I thought about outdoor tile, but I just can't decide. Thanks

eww, it's just a giant concrete slab?

Definitely go with stone work, what type of stone or patterns will depend on personal preference or the type of look you are going for. I recommend either having a landscaping come out and give you some options or visiting your local stoneworks store and look through the various patio stones they have. They will also give you insulation tips etc, then you can visit a local green house and spruce it up a bit with some easy to care for plants.

talk to a landscaper he can give you options and places to go to see the work without it costing anything then make up your mind.
