Ummm - Hello??? This is the 21st century - parents don't "send" children to war any more. We have (duh) what's called an "all volunteer" military. Each individual in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines volunteered to join. You've been reading too many comic books (which, based on the fact that you can't think for yourself, you just parrot liberal media and polititicans, is about your highest reading level). Maybe a couple centuries ago, maybe a couple millenia (perhaps your question is inspired by the movie '300'), parents "sent" their children to war.

Of course he realizes war is "done" (we smart folks say "fought") with people. As I said, each of us in the military is a volunteer. We volunteered to fight, to stand up for what is right, to end terrorism, to stop ruthless dictators and Al Qaeda bombers. We volunteered to do what it take to stand up for the rights of people like you to spout off all kinds of BS, because we believe in fighting for things like freedom of speech, even if it's really ignorant speech.

I'm not a fan of President Bush... ...

However, I don't go for this argument. They're grown women who can make their own decisions. If the military isn't for them, then so be it. (I don't think it's our loss that they didn't choose it, either!)

What parent SENDS their children to war? That's just a silly statement.

If you truly don't like George Bush, find something different to pick on and back it up with facts. There's plenty to choose from.

BTW-- his father fought in WWII. I thought everyone knew that.

Thats very wonderful yet you fail to work out the apparent problems wealthy and pwerfull human beings deliver the masses off to die for land and income - you will desire to in no way question the leaders - No no my buddy - The King and or President pronounces a war and then the mases bypass off to combat that war - We not call this a classification equipment because of the fact the peasants got here across it rude - We now refer to it as socio economic brackets that would infuence procuring ability -

I don't know why you asked a question like this, but is it that you don't know that we in the USA have a volunteer Army and is against the law to draft . Or is it that you want to be funny with something that is not. Or is it that you don't understand that our President have a job to do and he is doing it. Or. maybe you don't have nothing else to do..or don't like George W. Bush. A war is nothing to be stupid about ...our soldiers are in harm way and we must be there for them.

To answer your actual question, HE nor ANYONE can just SEND their kid to war. TO join the Military is a sole decision, they must be a volunteer, people who say that need to realize how uneducated they sound. Example, the PRince of England joined and is going to if not already there. Iraq. He volunteered.

P.S. Have YOU served?

I think it is unnacceptable for you to write propaganda about anybody let alone the Commander and Chief without researching your question FIRST. I just makes you look like an azz! If I really wanted to search more...maybe 5min I probably would have been able to find the Bush family military service all the way back to the Civil War. You really need to think about stuff before you type it out.

Bush enlisted in the Texas Air National Guard on May 27, 1968 during the Vietnam War, with a commitment to serve until May 26, 1974. In his 1968 Statement of Intent (undated), he wrote, "I have applied for pilot training with the goal of making flying a lifetime pursuit and I believe I can best accomplish this to my own satisfaction by serving as a member of the Air National Guard as long as possible." He performed Guard duty as an F-102 pilot through April 1972, logging a total of 336 flight hours[1] and was promoted once during his service, to first lieutenant.[2]

In November 1970, Lt. Col. Jerry B. Killian, commander of the 111th Fighter Squadron (Texas Air National Guard), recommended that Bush be promoted to First Lieutenant, calling him "a dynamic outstanding young officer" who stood out as "a top notch fighter interceptor pilot." He said that "Lt. Bush's skills far exceed his contemporaries," and that "he is a natural leader whom his contemporaries look to for leadership. Lt. Bush is also a good follower with outstanding disciplinary traits and an impeccable military bearing."

Bush's six-year obligation to serve required him to maintain his immediate readiness as an individual and a member of a unit to be called to active duty in the event of a national emergency. Bush's military records indicate that until May 1972 he fulfilled that obligation. But from that point on, Bush failed to meet the attendance requirements established by Federal law, Department of Defense regulations, and Air Force policies and procedures for "obligated" members of the Air National Guard, and the Air Force requirement for an annual physical examination for pilots.

I'm no fan of Bush, but. Well. Ahem.

I would imagine that he doesn't send his "two daughter" to war because his "two daughter" aren't in the combat arms, are they.

That's like asking why I didn't sent my cat to the store. The answer was obviously "because Bush is evil."

My duck likes Brazilian wax.

His father was a WWII pilot in the pacific. He was in the National guard, but luckily his unit didn't deploy. We have an all volunteer military and his daughters are adults. They can join or not, they like all Americans have that right. Try a question next with some truth and common sense please.

Sobee you are a trainwreck. Go sit in the back of the bus. It is a VOLUNTEER military. You cannot force anyone into service here in the states.

Sobee have you served? Have you stuck your right hand up and volunteered to protect your freedom of speech? I doubt it.

His father most certainly was in war and was shot down one time by the Japanese. This is just evidence that you don't know what you are talking about.

Why should he send his daughters to war if they have not chosen to join up. Right now, it is those that join who are going to war.
