I am at home with the kids today 4 mo and 4 yrs. It's a great sunny day.
Here are some ideas I had: I could drive 30 min to the beach (a bit of effort w/ the little one), the playground, play a game and go outside in the backyard, build an indoor fort, make a craft, bake cookies, watch a movie, go to the mall, fast food indoor playground or something else that is free.
What do you think? Do you have an creative ideas for preschoolers?

going to the park always works for me.... we swing, slide, play on all the stuff they got... then feed the ducks...

cookies are always fun--plus they fill the air with good smells and energy and then you feel more like getting up and doing something--I'd say--make some cookies--eat them--then make a fun picnic lunch together, grab the beach toys and head to the beach--take some books to read and coloring books etc...nature is the best--becasue kids will come up with their own ideas--it is also soothing relaxing for all--I'd save the indoor stuff for rainy days etc..while you can--go outside and enjoy!!

If I could be home with my kids I would definitely do something outdoors. Go to the park let the 4yr old play while you entertain the 4mo old since he/she is too young to participate with the older one. Take some sheets to lay on the grass, bring some toys for the little one and don't forget the snacks and have a little picnic with them. Have fun!!

I live in gainesville, and I LOVE to go on campus to lake alice and feed the turtles. I gather up all the bread and cookies, cereal and chips, I will clean out the whole kitchen, just to go feed the turtles at lake alice. it feels good to get out the house and today is such a beautiful day in florida. your kids would love to do something like that. i take my 3 year old neice and she loves it just as much as me. maybe you can have a pinic while youre there. and your 4 year old can help you make the sandwiches. its too beautiful to be indoors! get off this computer and go outside!

Since it's a great day then you should stick to outdoor activities. How about a day in the park and then having an outdoor lunch? Or you could always build a fort in the backyard, my nephews always love doing that. Be creative and maybe let the 4 year old choose.

play in the back yared or go to the park but go outside if you stay inside today then another day when its rainly he want to go outside.

I would have a picnic in your yard and bring along a cassette with kid's music and a ball and have a ball!
