If rescuers told you that they could only take you?

It looks like everyone feels the same way I do. So if you leave your dog behind and save your own butt do you have a right to ask for your dog back if someone else saves him/her?

No, My dog is part of me and if i die i want to be next to him,

I would never in my life leave my dog or any of my animals behind for that matter. If there was no other way to keep the animal i would try to find a friend or family member to take it so atleast you still can see it, and maybe even get it back if you found a way later.

If I were ever in that position I'd tell them to take a flying leap and stay with the dog.
If they tried to con me by saying me first and the dog next I'd strap the dog up first so they'd have no choice but to take him to safety.They can come back for me.
It's a crock of bull to have anyone tell you there's no room for the dog.He can sit on someones lap if necessary.It'll be uncomfortable but in a life or death situation what's a little discomfort?

I personally would not leave any of my animals behind. To me that would be like leaving a child behind.

I would never do that. If someone is that cold hearted then THEY deserve to be left behind to die.

No. My animals are my children. I would rather stay and take my chances than have to sit and think about my babies all alone and dying.

the poor creature would starve and i couldn't imagine having my life with out my precious dog i would kill myself if i did
