I shake my head at some of these answers lol.. to answer your question you male needs to be 8 months old..Should really wait until he is one years old. AKC won't register litters if the dog is under 8 months. The female should be 2 years old. Also make sure they have a clear bill of health from your vet..

Given you do no longer even understand the very fundamentals in no way sounds good to me. Pugs are services to issues and your loss of even awareness approximately what you're going ought to o.k. fee your canines her existence once you fail to renowned an emergency. there is likewise somewhat no reason to reproduce a puppy high quality and unheath examined canines. Have her spayed and be carried out with it. in case you desire think of roughly turning out to be a breeder initiate somewhat gaining knowledge of, detect a breeding mentor and while they sense you're arranged they'll help you %. out a high quality b*tch, coach her to championship and choose the right stud for her.

6 months is too young to see if the male is a) ready, and b) free of genetic illness. Many genetic illnesses do not crop up until the dog is much more mature - things like PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and Epilepsy are not seen until later in life and by that point, posiibly passed on to generations of offspring whose new families will have broken hearts at the suffering of their companion.

It is not appropriate to breed any dog unless it is an AKC registered animal that has been shown to its championship and has passed all of the necessary health checks for its breed. Many of these checks cannot be done until it is fully mature, typically after one year of age. Unless you intend to go through all that, you really should not breed your dog.
Six months is way too young to breed any male dog.

It is very hard on a animal when people breed them to young she is still a puppy , a person ( a good reputable breeder) will atleast wait until the puppy is 2yrs old which is when it is fully mature and has had more than one heat cycle. you are supose to weight atleast 2-3 heat cycles before breeding. im not going to condem you for wanting to breed your dog but atleast wait until she is fully mature. good luck!!

Generally the rule of thumb is to wait until they are at least one year old.
