I don't think so. God is the How things happen. Science is the measurement and desire to Understand how things happen. You are the Why things happen, in my opinion.
Peace!

True, but the how and why is inseparable. Science = knowledge or its pursuit, and one title of God is the All-Knowing, or Truth. How then can the two be separated? It is impossible, and anyone who does is prone to error in all their arguments about reality: everything they say will be partial and biased, always negligent of greater accuracy - to be partial is, by definition, unholy, and unscientific.
You could just as easily call God as Truth, The Principle of Origin, and offend less people in scientific community, and more in the religious communities, because you're not calling it God, even though that is merely a label of reference and allusion to the Reality, which proves their bias against, or for God is mere acquired, and imitated learning, and a lack of sincere investigation.
Therefore it is evident those who argue with each other for these things are arguing over what is claimed by their human representatives, and not arguing about the reality of God, which they clearly, and evidently lack great conscious knowledge of Truth - though everyone has an indrawing toward God, for God/Truth is all-compelling, and attracting, and everyone advances, a little or a lot, and is not something for us to judge with condemnation.
Indeed God blesses all, for all are provided to be recipients of all-pervasive grace, without which there could be no progress, or sense of good. Since all can receive, all will be given, this is evident in each's ability to learn, in their degrees, and know Good, with or without the second o, is no matter.
God bless.

I cannot disagree with the statement that "God is the why things happen, science is the how things happen. Matter of fact, I think the statement is very insightful.

I could agree with that. God is also the creator of science itself. Who siad God performed magic like that all the time? God used materials, too, and expects us to do our part in life as well.

It would be OK, except that the Bible states that God is the how for creation, not to mention the why and how for a non-existent flood and exodus.
