Absolutely! I took a class that talked about the history of the Bible. It was translated from a language that seemed to have suddenly died. The translations were made by people that didn't always believe in God or the purpose of the Bible. There are so many contradictions and I believe that these are the two biggest contributing factors to the confusion. Of course I don't believe that the Sun revolves around the Earth. We have proof of that. I think that was an observation made by people the translated the Bible. In those times, this would have been the belief. I am a Christian woman and very open to what I will experience from God when my time comes.

The Bible doesn't actually imply that the Sun revolves around the Earth, but merely recounts what is visible from the point of view of the Earth. We still use euphimism that would imply that the Sun revolves around the Earth today, saying that it, and the moon and stars "rise" or "set". From our viewpoint, that's what happens, even though we understand that the mechanics are quite different.
Using a point of view to disprove the veracity of the Bible is ineffective. The same arguments would imply that our legal system is wrong because some laws refer to sunrise or sunset.
While I don't agree with the Bible, I wouldn't go so far to say that references to a rising or setting sun, or the stars being "around" the Earth, or other such references disprove the Bible as a whole.
Still, it's this kind of holding on to traditions that create such an argument between science and fundamentalism.

No, because the Bible IS always right. Please tell me where in the Bible it says that the Sun goes around the Earth? This idea was an ancient Greek notion that was disproven.
As for evolution, it has never been observed or proven that a dog can either produce or come from a non-dog ("dog" defined as any member of the "canis" family). All we ever observe is that animals "bring forth after their kind", which proves that the Bible is correct and evolution is wrong.

The Bible is the infallible word of God written down and copied throughout the ages by the fallible hand of man and interpreted by the fallible mind of man. If you are looking for scientific fact in the Bible you are reading it for the wrong reason. It is there to guide you on a spiritual journey and to help you understand your relationship with God and what God expects from you. If you want to know the position of the earth aound the sun look in an encyclopedia.

I believe the Bible is probably correct in some things, just as the Coran (not certain if I spelled that correctly) is probably right about some things etc. I am a believer in a one supreme being that I call God but I am not a believer in "religions" themselves. I too believe that most of the religious texts were written by man for men and even if inspired by "God" were still interpreted by man.

As per bible sun is revolving around earth.
(I do not understand that sentance.)
I do believe that the bible is right but God did not just hand us the bible. Jesus' apostle wrote it down from memory.
(I am new to this so I am not 100% sure.)
The beginning of the bible is mostly just guesses though.

I wholeheartedly accept the bible is not always right.
That's why I think for myself. The bible might be able to give you ideas, or bring up another point of view you hadn't thought of, but it in no way has all the answers. Actually, IMHO, it has very few answers. And many, many mistakes.

I don't accept anything in the bibile as more than folklore. Sounds like a great story to me, and a bit like a story I would give my daughter when the fact allude me. The bible is a great storybook, and that is all it is.

Scripture reference please?
Parts of the Bible are irrelevant to today's culture. Women should be silent in church? Yea right. Women can't be preachers? Yea right.
It's all a matter of interpretation. Take what works for you and use it. If it doesn't work, find a new interpretation of it that does work.
