I know you can take the deduction for day care but what about the cost of having the baby such as doctors, hospital stays, ect. Does that count for the same deduction?

No, those would be under medical expenses. There is a standard deduction...if your itemized expenses are higher, use that dollar amount - otherwise, stick with the standard.

No the time spent at Dr appt or Hosptial visits or stays in not considered Day Care Expenses. This is Medical Care.

Day Care expenses are paid to a daycare provider to enable you to go to work.
