Will my cats eat gerbils?

Yes, it's very possible that your cat will kill and eat your gerbils.
Make sure you keep the gerbils in a enclosure that your cat can't get into.
If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems.

Yes. Cats are very interested in the way gerbils move and will pounce on them and kill them if they can.
To make matters worse gerbils are naturally afraid of birds of prey and of snakes, but don't seem to show much fear of cats and will run right up to them.
Bottom line...if you can keep your cats away from your gerbils then re-home one or the other. A good, safe housing for gerbils is a 10 gallon tank with a clipped on wire mesh lid kept on a bookshelf with about a half an inch to an inch space between the top of the tank and the bookshelf above it. The width of the tank should be wide enough to fit only the tank (and not a cat sitting next to it).

Yes, yes, yes. I had a gerbil and my cat pounced on it and no kidding my gerbil died from shock. My dad let the cat in the room when my gerbil was out. I was 12 and didn't hold it against my cat because I knew that might happen.

The cat would probably attack the gerbil because it is a natural instinct for cats to attack small prey. I would not recommend trying it.....

if left unsupervised there is a good chance that they could become a meal for your cat. best bet is to only have interaction between the 2 of them when you can supervise them intently,

Don't know... domestic cats have they're survival needs covered by YOU. Your cat might kill it from instinct. My Stimpy will watch a mouse because she PLAYING with it.
