I've never done this before, so when I responded to his ad I suggested that I'd be interested in meeting for coffee or a drink. Is this a good idea - I don't know this guy at all. Has anyone else done this - and what would you do?

Meet in a very public place, like a mall, and check him out before you approach him...Go for coffee, not drinks,as that will loosen you up and you don't want to be too relaxed until you know him much, much better...Definitely do not meet him alone or in a bar....Keep people around you and don't let him know where you live or follow you to your car....just to be very safe....hey, you never know...there are some real weirdos out there....

Well i met someone online he asked to meet for coffee and lunch i was scared at first but after a few months he still pursued me and i agreed to meet in a very public place and we talked afterwards went for a walk in the park it was nice, after that we started seeing each other i moved in and we eventually got married and in april we will have been married for 2 years and still going strong.But you really have to be careful i got lucky but some people are just plain physco and you need to meet in a very public place and don't go to his home or let him follow you home you have to get to know him..I don't know about craigslist i had never ever been on there.

I've met guys from there before - just make sure you meet in a public place. Some guys there are good guys - some are just looking for cheap easy sex.

I don't know about the craigs list personals. You don't really get alot of information out of that. I suggest if you really want to meet him bring a friend and tell him to bring a friend too.

I've never done that either but it sounds fun. I would go for coffee, don't expect too much then you won't be disapointed. And if he's a total jerk you can pour your hot coffee on him.

Have you talked on the phone ??? You don't tell us much but I'd say you have no idea about anything about this guy. Do you know what he looks like ??? REALLY ??

Be VERY careful. I would only see this person if your in a group of people. He could be evil or an axe murderer or something. Online anonymity makes this dangerous.

I would ask him to send u a pic, and meet in public place..I do it all the time also.
