I used it on very mild scaring on the side of my face everyday for a month and yes it did improve but I don't know about it working on deep scars, worth a try though as it's not too expensive.
Oh and yes the scars had been there for about 18 years

I have heard that Bio Oil is great for new scars but it does not work so well on scars which are old. Its probably worth a try anyway though, just in case.

Not sure what bio oil is, but if it's anything like vitamin E, then it should. I have (had) a deep, nasty scar on my elbow that was years old, and it cleared up miraculously after a few months of daily vitamin E treatments.

Bio- oil is an vitamin E based oil that claims to help heal scars (even old ones) there claim is that they have developed a unique delivery system (purecellin) for the vitamin E to be kept active when delivered to the skin therefore promoting healing.
I have heard rave reveiws but like everything in life you wont know until you try it! (one mans poison is another mans medicine!)
So it wont hurt you to try it, only your purse! (its not cheap)

In a word no, oil just sits on the skin a very small amount is absorbed, but it is a small amount. Scar tissue is different to skin tissue so the treatment is not likely to have ant effect

It worked really well on my stretchmarks after I had my kids so I would definitely recommend it but I don't think it gets rid of scars completely , it definitely reduces the appearance though and makes them much less noticeable.

I think it depends how bad the scarring is.

No. Scars can only fade, or get hidden by wrinkles (!).
