He needs to be relieved of command for that stupid statement. It's based on his religion which needs to be kept totally out of his job performance as a employee of We the People.

That general doesn't know his own troops, I served in the Corps, there's plenty of these "immoral men" and whats funny is if they don't want gays in because they are immoral, why do they have to hand out condoms to everyone every time we hit port. There's more than one way to be immoral, I think this general has some latent tendencies he is afraid to explore.

What I find really amazing is the idea that our soldiers are supposed to be heroic and brave in battle, and sniveling cowards in the shower.

But yes, I see your point here. Who cares what the Bible says--he's supposed to be defending the Bill of Rights, not the Ten Commandments!

He was stating his own personal opinion, and even though some people didn't like what he said; in this country, we are still allowed to have a personal opinion. He was not making policy, he was not stating the military's opinion, he was stating HIS opinion, and he does not have to apologize to anyone for that.

its a question of morality, and most people believe sex is for procreation and that a man and a man cant have children so their sex is immoral. personally i think there is something severly wrong with a guy finding another guys balls attractive. it is a brain disorder for these unfortunate souls and hopefully a cure or help can be created for this psychological disease

Truth hurts, huh! Society can set the morality of said society without using the Bible or religion. Most people in our society find homosexuals offensive but are not vocal about it because they don't want to appear homophobic. Gays are vocal and would like for you to believe everybody supports them. Well, it just isn't so.

Jihad! Was that what he said?

Again, another great argument in support of secularism in all public service positions, public service organizations and governments.

Peace!
