If the person you were seeing wasn't physically there for you at a time when you needed support most, would you be able to forgive them? Would you ever be able to love them?

It depends on the circumstances.
If they weren't there for you because they were drinking with mates, or off having fun somewhere then it seems they may never be there for you when you need them.
But maybe he has a reason so at least give him a chance to explain why he wasn't there for you.

Was it just the once?
If he continues to not be there for you on many occasions then he doesn't really care.

It would really depend on the circumstances which causing the person to not be there when I needed them. Were they able to control the situation and chose to be unavailable? If that is the case, then their choice let's you know where you stand in their life. If they couldn't control the situation to be available for you, then yes, you need to find a way to forgive them. We cannot change the past, but create the future. Good luck to you and God Bless.

Physically not there? Yes, forgive them. Emotionally not there? No. If they are somewhere else, you have lost them. There could be reason why they are not physically there.

No, there would have to be some concrete reason that I 100 hundered percent knew was the truth and even then... it would be shaky. The idea of having a partner is someone that is there for you no matter what.

Yes, especially if it was just one time. Your not giving more details, so we don't know just how much support you needed. Sometimes people feel awkward giving support in that manner, they don't want to be considered rude or uncaring. Are you sure its not just that.

If it was possible for the person to be there and the person knew that I wanted him/her at that time and if he/she was not present...then I would think that...that he or she is not really for me....but if the person did not know what I went through and that I needed him/her....then why blame them...

Um....like there beside you comforting you? Depends on where they were....out of the country? On a business trip? Don't hold that against them. But do wonder if they truly love you.

Depends on where his mind was. If he wanted to be there for you and tried to be there for you, then totally.
But... if he didn't try, then maybe you should think about confronting him. You know? Sit him down and really get to the bottom of his behavior, your behavior and the relationship.
