A great love lasts for life, that is where you are wrong. Some people think it's the intensity that matters when they say "great", when really if it's a true love that lasts forever it's a greater kind of love. And people practice to make it so throughout the relationship. You may see it as average if you are comparing it to the hum-drum of everyday life. But a truely great love is one which lasts for a lifetime

any one - I have been single for 6 years now.
Well if you have to get into it a great love for 5 years would be great but a lifetime is long and when you get older you get lonely - and than you have no one in your life to share things with, to talk to, to keep you company.
I would rather take the average love that will last a lifetime - that way I won't be alone and you can turn an average love into a great love - it's not that hard to do

An average love, because it can be improved and strengthened over time, so an average love is great love lasting a long life

Average love for life. I have had two great loves, but I was not sure they really loved me. To have an average love that I know is what it is is ok with me.

Put away the "ruler"...or rather, the clock. How great could the 5 year love really be if it wound up ENDING?

What's your definition of great and what's your definition of average.
A love that lasts a lifetime is amazing, wonderful, and worth striving for.
