Why do you continue to believe that after death....you are dead? You always seem to hit us with the verse in Ecclesiastes....but yet.....have you forgotten the new covenant brought about by the Lord Jesus Christ?
Consider these verses:

2 Corinthians 5:7-9 (New King James Version)
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Luke 23:42-44 (New King James Version)
42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
1 Thessalonians 4:17
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord

When you die you go to 1 of 2 places: Heaven with Christ....or hell without Him.

You decide.

Great point Tanya.....never noticed that.

Wrong PW...
Paradise was lost in the garden....true.
But God...through His redemptive work on the cross has now bridged the gap between God and man once again. We have access to the Father because of the atoning sacrificial death, burial & resurrection at Calvary.

Sorry Lillie...
You couldn't be much further from the truth. The soul will live forever...in either heaven or hell. Christ has broken the curse of sin & death........haven't you read the whole book?

Jesus said that the dogs (unclean/sinners) will be thrown out into Gehenna where there will be weeping & gnashing of teeth.....that's hell.

Wrong keiichi:
Christ released those people from death by His resurrection.....they believed by faith apart from grace at the time. Whereas we are justified by grace apart from the law.

Dear Primo,

I'm not a Watchtower Witness but I've asked them the same question without ever getting an answer.

Years ago I was given a copy of the NWT and I did not want it but I prayed about it and my heavenly Father told me to look up verses in it whenever I was looking up verses in my actual Bibles.

At the back of the NWT I saw "44 Bible Topics for Discussion" and noticed under #12. Earth ...
B. Will never be destroyed or depopulated ...
Literal earth to be permanant ... Ec.1:4; Ps.104:5
I WROTE WHAT ABOUT MARK 13:31, LUKE 21:33?

Jws give more credence to what the Watchtower says the Bible says rather than what the Bible actually says. I hear from many jws something to the effect that the Bible doesn't really say what it says and people need help to understand. Maybe that is why they discount the Holy Spirit. They have tried to assume the role of the promised Helper and have done a very bad job of it.

I never took a single religion course but I've been enJOYing reading the Bible for the past 15 years. I usually read it from cover-to-cover each year and I keep learning more and more thanks to the Helper.

Thanks to the Holy Spirit I know that this earth is going to pass away. Period. After that comes Heaven for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior, but eternal separation / Hell for those who do not accept Him.

No, you're misinformed. There are not the form of human beings as "Watchtower witnesses." There are people who're Jehovah's Witnesses. we don't worship The Watchtower nor any human employer. We worship Jehovah God, we belong to Him via His Son, Jesus Christ, and we recommend in basic terms His kingdom. in case you opt for to renowned the version between Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, then bypass to their respective good web pages.

No.
And it's not Watchtower Witnesses, it's Jehovah's Witnesses. (not being mean, just straightening the name up)

2 Corintians 5:7-9 "7 for we are walking by faith, not by sight. 8 But we are of good courage and are well pleased rather to become absent from the body and to make our home with the Lord. 9 Therefore we are also making it our aim that, whether having our home with him or being absent from him, we may be acceptable to him. 10 For we must all be made manifest before the judgment seat of the Christ, that each one may get his award for the things done through the body, according to the things he has practiced, whether it is good or vile.

The things done now, determine what judgment we will receive later on.
Only 144,000 will go to heaven with Christ, and the rest "the great crowd" will be on the earthly paradise.
"The world [of wicked mankind] is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever."—1 John 2:17.
"The upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it."—Proverbs 2:21, 22.
Revelations 14:1 "And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. "

Ok just to let u know we are Jehovah's Witnesses.

And think of it this way Jehovah God, intended for man to live forever in a perfect paradise, but that was stripped from us because of Adam and Eve, Now since he intends for us to live this way, and no one is higher than Jehovah, he will make the earth a paradise for Humans to dwell on, and be perfect. Now would it truly make sence to have some sort of life after death when one day the rightcheous will live forever? No it doesn't.

So when we die we don't go to heaven we don't go to Hell, we simply die. The bible states the dead are concious of nothing, when you are unconcious you don't do anything, you simply sleep, your not aware of things around you at all. So this is how the condition of the dead is.

So from the bible you can clearly see that we have a hope for everlasting life, and that hope will be done.

Everyone prays for it its in the model prayer thats what gets me people don't even know what they pray for when they are praying.

Firstly,we are known as Jehovah's Witnesses as the name of our God is Jehovah and we are his witnesses. The Watchtower is only a publication.
Yes we quote Eccl.9:5 because that is what the Bible teaches.Gen3:19 tells us that we are dust and to dust we return. This the Bible also teaches.
In the account of the death of Jesus' friend Lazarus,Jesus told his disciples that he was going to awaken Lazarus from sleep.
This is what the Bible teaches and this is what we teach people.
What the churches of Christendom dont teach their followers is that the Bible speaks of two classes or groups of people:
The first group are referred to as "little flock"(Luke12:32),as they will only number 144,000.These are the ones that go to heaven. They will rule as kings and priests with Christ over the earth.
The second group spoken of in the Bible are referred to as "great crowd" and "other sheep"(Rev.7:9;John10:16),as their number is unlimited. These are the ones who will reside on the earth, which is to be restored to its original paradise conditions.
(Ps.37:9-11,29;Pr.2:21
;Acts.24:15;Dan.2:44)
The concept of a fiery hell is not a Bible teaching.Nor is the concept of a immortal soul that leaves the body upon its death. These are pagan teachings that have been fused in with apostate Christianity.
As Jehovah's Witnesses we only preach and teach what God's Holy Word says.

When you die you go to 1 of 2 places: Heaven with Christ....or hell without Him.

Your logic is flawed.

John 3:13, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven.

You are suggesting everyone died prior to Jesus (Moses, David, and Abraham) are suffering in hell.

At the point where he say "today you will be with me in paradise" they move the comma around to suit their doctrine

Even though in every other instance when he uses the phrase "I say to you" the comma comes right after. But they move it over to after the "today" so it agrees with what they believe, even though it doesn't make any sense that he would say "I say to you today" and it disagrees with every other instance
