Why are some guys smart? why are some guys some stupid? Why are some people intelligent? Why are some people dumb? Why are some people outgoing?
It's the same reason why girls are shy. It's an attitude buddy. Specially when it comes to Indian girls, they are not shy with their husbands, or mom, or close friends (girls). They need a very trustworthy person to whom they can reveal their truths.

All girls are shy by nature. An American woman can blush as much as an Indian Idol... In general you must be referring to the middle/lower class of the Indian society. It is the lack of exposure to the world, this is the main reason for their shyness. If you take a classic example of a woman in the corporate world, I don't think you would find your typical desi shy girl in there...

I have many indian friends both male and female, you can't judge them all, as you don't know them all. I live in a community with many indians here or close, they aren't shy. In fact they very confident and open minded. Here in England they own many shops and are always willing and eager to chat to you.

It is the Indian culture of women adhering to customs and less talkative in public.
It is also related to their confidence level.
Girls are not shy now but are shining now

I think they are taught to stay within their race and that is why they may not be so talkative with others. Some Indian women are quite beautiful but it seems as if they do not mix well.

They aint. Well im not anyway - but it might have something to do with our mums never discussing the birds and the bees with us. But hey it was fun learning the hard way round. I think i would change all of your perceptions of 'Indian' girls.

well thats not being shy really.its more ofa courtsey n dont mistake it fore syess they knowwhat s what and in more senses than one........
do not misunderstand a lack of knowledge on sum trendy sexdual advances as shyness, they rerspect culture tradition and will play ball wid uas second fiddle (more to let your false pride ego bloat) make no mistake they have the power to match u1 on 1 ,given a chance

It depends upon how they are raised, basicaly we indians are very traditional... and there is great place in our society about girl so they are raised in more protective manner and so they become shy

not only Indian but any girl who is brought up in limits and good family culture will be shy and thts good..
