My son is 5 years of age and I am applying passport for him under tatkal scheme. What are the documents reqd.for it and whether his physical presence is required before Regional Passport Officer? Kindly reply.

My wife and I have been looking into this recently. I believe the child must be present.

I don't think they give a passport to anyone they cannot confirm by looking at them and then looking at the picture.

In addition, I'm absolutely positive that both parents must be present, or a signed, notarized affidavit must be presented for the missing parent.

If you try Tatkaal Scheme spelt this way on the net there is site with full details of documents required ,thirteen are listed and you need to produce any three of them.
