I took amoxicillin for the full 10 days...and on day 11 got hives. Nothing serious, they weren't very bad, not too itchy...but they were there. Well, this is now day 3 of having them. They didn't move around much and now they won't go away! The skin isn't raised anymore but there's red, flat spots where they used to be that vary from almost faded to (after my luke-warm shower) BRIGHT red--almost purple--again. And then they fade..but they're never completely gone!! Do I just wait it out? They're not bothersome at all...not itchy, not dry, not scaly, they feel just like skin...they're just...there. And I wake up and they're STILL there... Help??

They aren't itchy anymore--not scratching them at all. They weren't very itchy to start out with, as they weren't very bad. The places that won't fade are the fronts of my thighs and the backs of my arms--the places they had been worse when the hives were bumped up.

you had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics, i, myself am highly allergic to any form or penicillin.
to clear your body of the residue, drink 1-2 tblspns raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar, in water and honey or apple juice 2-3 times a day..
once the marks are gone, this is a great overall body tonic on a daily basis..

Only if you scratch them to the point where they leave a scar.
