NHS fee paying means that the NHS pays some of the cost of your dental work, you dont pay 100% yourself.
Private means just that, you pay all the costs.

On the NHS you pay 80% of the charge and the government pick up the other 20%.
Private treatment is a total different kettle of fish as the Government/nhs have no say what a patient is charged, bear in mind it's the government who decided that you cant have white fillings or white crowns on back teeth, as they class this as vanity.
It will depend on the dentist as to how expensive your appointment will be, every dentist will charge differently.

You will pay for everything, however, you can offset the costs by taking out a dental insurance plan, the dentist may have his own, mine does! I pay £18 a month, which is much better than getting a large bill, and it covers me for twice yearly check ups, hygenist, and any treatment required. Subsequently I have now gone onto my firms BUPA plan, and that covers the dentistry side of things too. Good luck!

It will be at least 30% more expensive than NHS, but you will find the service is a 100% better so you get what you pay for.

I hate to interrupt it to you yet alot of paediatric dentists are females (i recognize this to a actuality as I worked at 2 considerable london dental/babies hospitals). you would be greater useful speaking directly to a dentist who refer your toddler to a Dentist who has a msc degree in paediatric dentistry, quite than asking on right here. i in my view can not propose a paediatric dentist as this is unethical and unprofessional.

depends where it is.
dental prices vary so much it's worth checking around first but as you've already made the appointment it may be too late as some charge cancellation fees
