Why is my music turning into an exe!!!?

Every time i download music from limewire, it turns into an exe over night. my virus software isn't picking anything up but im sure i have a virus. what is going on!!!?

I had that happen to me and it was spyware so I used spybot search and destroy and ad-aware and it got rid of the problem.
