Look in the health food/vitamin section and get some LYSINE. Take double does for the next two days and then drop to taking it as directed. If you get these often, keep the Lysine in your system and it will prevent them. Also, find the Sweet Acdolpholis milk in the Dairy section and start drinking it and eating plain yoguart. It has an enzyme in it that kills the virus in the cold sore. You can actually apply the yoguart to the sore itself and I assure you it will be greatly diminished in 24 to 48 hours and on its way to being completely healed. Not to be funny or "abusive" either, but be very careful sexually right now. Those sores can be Herpes # 1. If spread to the genitals thru Contact, it can be caught there and it turns into Herpes #2, the STD. Just wanted to let you know that. Good luck.

I swear by Carmex for instant relief. You can also take zinc as a supplement or a cream directly on the sore. L-Lysine is good for putting the virus into remission. Mine last about 5 days.

Did you try Abreva? If that didn't/doesn't work, then go to the doctor. They may need to give you an anti-viral like Valtrex. Remember---don't touch the cold sores! You'll just spread them. And if you use Chapstick, lip gloss, throw it away. You'll just keep reinfecting yourself.
