Maybe...
Your connection can transfer a limited amount of data every second.
The connections between you and the source of the download can also transfer a limited amount of data every second.
If the bottleneck is at your end, then there is no advantage to increasing the load on it. If the bottleneck is at the sources, then adding a new download from a different source isn't going to hurt the existing downloads.

Teoretically the total time should be the same. Practically :)...
If the movies are from different servers and downloading 3 of them does not fill your bandwidth, then it is surely better to download all five.
Even if your bandwidth is full, if you are using a download manager and the source servers support resume then you can start all five in order to be sure your bandwidth will be always full even in case of bottlenecks on some of the servers.
But, if the downloads are not resumable, it is best to download them one or two at a time, in order to prevent a brocken download (by minimising the download time for each particular file you lower the risk of a broken download).
Hope that helps!

That depends both on your download speed as well as the upload speed of the site(s) you are getting the files from.
When the total upload speeds of the other sites equals the download speed of your connection, you have reached the optimum limit.
In some cases that might mean, that you can download 20 files from 20 different sources and still download stuff as fast as is technically possible.

It depends on your connection.
If your connection is good enough you can download all 5 at the same time. If you're on dial up then I wouldn't advise to downloading anything at all.

ok, your isp is only allowing the maximum internet speed into your computer, if you got 256 then only trhat will be... when you download 1 thing it will run in full, 2 things the max will be split in to and shared over the 2 downloads,3 will be split so al three will each get the same amount!

it depends on your bandwidth. if your bandwidth is so-so, then it's better to download a couple of the movies and then the rest later. if it's higher, it might be ok, but it could take longer to download too.
