Ive used ebay loads but has a slight break for a while, when i used to pay by paypay it used to clear straight away and the seller would send item straight away. Now all of a sudden the past 2 times ive bought stuff the payment hasn't cleared for with the seller for about 6 days so i dont get what ive bought for ages! How is this fair? I thought that was the whole point of ebay! Is it something wrong with my account or other peoples? My card expired a couple of weeks ago and i had to update that with ebay but surely that cant have anything to do with it? Thanks

I had this problem with paypal just before Christmas. What I had to do was update my details as the credit card they had on file had expired. I updated my details and then all my transactions have gone back to immediate payment and I now get my goods quickly.
I would suggest you check to make sure all your details are up to date and your credit card details are also up to date. Also check to make sure your paypal account is verified.
One last thing is that ebay and paypal are seperate entities so you have to update information on both sites, a pain I know!!!

i have notice a change in the past month.
It would make payment immediatly and disappear from my bank a day or too later. Now it takes 4 or 5 days. Its seems to be using something called 'echeques' where as before it was automatically Direct Debit, i have not changed nothing though.
Waiting until i buy something next to see if i can select a quicker option, or just use visa.
I have my account verfied etc..

Are you paying by credit card
This is called an 'echeck' and can take upto 10 days to clear
Ensure ther is enough cash in paypal to cover the purchase if your account is not 'verified'
Paypal cannot pull cash from you account until it is verified so it's worth the trouble.
Then your payments will be paid instantly

Are you sure it isn't just that the seller hasnt taken the payment?
Keep an eye on payments. They are clear as soon as you pay.

You need to check with the company that issued your credit credit. Most probably ebay did not get clearance from the issuance thus the delay.

I DONT know how paypal work but i do know i paid throught paypal and did not get my wares .. It was for a small amount and paypal would not pay out as it was under £15.00 which they charge for working for one. my item was under a £5 so i paid for something I DID NOT GET!!! JUST EH.
JUST AS well it was not hundreds.

Are you sure you are not paying via e-check? That takes a few days.

verify your paypal account it might clear quicker
