When making a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation, does anyone know how to add music to the ENTIRE show--so the music plays through the whole show? Right now, I can only figure out music for one slide.

I was trying to make a show last night, for practise...and at the end I tried to add sound for the whole show. Something that just keeps playing through. Is there a way to do that?

Whats the Duration in time of the slide show?
In Office 2003 Powerpoint, Click on Insert, go to Movies and Sounds, and you can insert specific files, or even co-ordinate track by Track from a CD. The CD option allows you to loop, or do what ever you want.
The CD option Appears to allow you to loop whatever you want, but be careful on music selection and avoid abrupt finishes. If you can find a piece that times to the exact length of your Presentation then I would suggest that the Style of the Presentation be linked to the Length of the File of music or the looping be edited so that the same mood repeats, but you may want to morph the end of the file into the start of the file when it loops.
This is the clearest intro to Music in a PPS or PPT that I could find:

Instruction for Office 2003 & 2007:

On your first slide add the sound clip (Insert, Movie and Sound Clips, Sound From File). (Say yes to automatically start it).

Click on the sound icon that came up and select Slide Show from the menu, then select Custom Animation.

If you have other animations on this slide you have to move it to the top (using the Re-order button).

Now click on the arrow beside the music and click on effect options. See the "Stop Playing" field in the middle? Click on After ____ Slides and put the last slide number is this field (if you are using Office 2007 you can put 999). Click OK.

If the sound clip isn't long enough for your entire presentation you will want to loop it. To do this, right click on the sound icon and choose "edit sound" then click on the loop until stopped icon. You can also hide the sound icon while playing by clicking on Hide Sound Icon during slide show. Click OK and tadaa you are done.

Have a good day.

ok. you would be able to desire to have despite music you opt for to apply saved on your difficult force first, needless to say. click on the Insert tab (i think of that's what that's noted as, if no longer it rather is the tab decrease than which you will locate text textile packing packing containers etc) and click the insert sound button (this appears like a tiny loudspeaker. right here you may opt for which report you opt for to apply (music), and while that's finished the report could desire to look as a touch speaker on one in all your slides. interior the presentation, click it to take heed to the music.
