Last year, I filed my federal tax returns but not my state returns. I have lost my w2 forms (or whatever those things are) that my employers gave me, and I cannot find them. So, how can I file my state returns now for that year? I don't wanna owe the IRS a lot of money!! HELP!!!

You can ask your employer for copies. You can write the IRS and ask them for copies of your 1040 so you can turn around and file your state tax forms from them. Don't panic your not the first person to do that and your not going to be the last.

If you filed your federal returns then you should be okay with the IRS. Your state return(s) is a different matter. You should first contact the employers you had in 2005 and ask for duplicate W-2 forms for 2005. Then do your state tax return. To expidite matters you can ask that your duplicate 05 W-2 be faxed to you.
