my shoulder cracks pretty much every time i put my arm up, the dr says the only thing they can do is send me to physio or give me pain killers (its not painful, just annoying)

No but just in case don't do it I have arthritis and beleive me you don't want to get it.

No, its an old wives tale.

The crack sound it caused by air moving in your joints, not bones rubbing together. Like popping bubble wrap!

yes. except your back. the crack is air popping out from between your joints, and also the slight shifting of joints. after a long time they wil be in a visibly different postion, but you wont see it unless you look for it or its real bad.

your back is different because it has discs between each joint, these discs have liquid in them, and cracking your back removes any air from these discs. when there is air in there your back will be slightly stiff.

No, there is no scientific proof that it does. It was originally thought that it did, but recently it was decided that it does no long-term damage (unless you already have bad joints).

No, but it can make you have a weaker grip when you are older.
