If a Chow's tongue has a purple spot on it, does that advise it somewhat is not purebred? No. Chow pups' tongues are purple at beginning. They darken to blue-black via 8-10 weeks of age. some tongues do no longer disguise thoroughly and that they could have small spots or splashes of purple. elderly Chows and Chows with the dilute coat colorings of cinnamon and blue each so often lose tongue pigment as they age and improve purple spots. What if the canine looks like a Chow yet has a thoroughly purple or in general purple tongue? knowledgeable Chowists agree that such canines are no longer purebred Chows and won't have any Chow parentage in any respect. The Chow is a member of the spitz family contributors, a huge team of breeds that contains the Samoyed, Siberian Husky, Malamute, Akita, Shiba Inu, Pomeranian, Norwegian Elkhound, Keeshond, and so forth. all of them proportion common actual characteristics: a similar physique shape, over-the-lower back tail carriage, upright triangular ears, and a dense offstanding coat. A Chow-looking canine with a purple tongue is plenty extra possibly to be a mixture of one of the different spitz-sort breeds.

Yes they are born with black tongues. May actually look like a blueish/black color. Cool right.
