Yes get in touch with the salvation army as they found my relative pretty quick. I think it cost £15.00 which was about 5 years ago so it may be a little more. They send a form and you fill in the details of which you know and they do the rest. Easy and they contact you then with any info about his whereabouts.
Good luck!

I certainly think you should leave well alone - you have to draw a line under this the sooner the better. If you put posters up I think that is a cruel way to find anyone in these circumstances. Perhaps and possibility is big that he has not been told and has no recollection of his first two years. You could open up a whole can of worms and destroy what his adoptive parents have led him to believe. Whatever your circumstances were they have now been taken over and dealt with by his new parents and the boy. Pyscholigal damage is to dangerous to mess with and could happen if your instistance of finding him continues a risk definately not worth taking.

If he's of legal age and doesn't want to be in touch with you, I'm not sure you'll be having much luck. Why did you lose touch in the first place? Sounds like you're not telling the whole story.

If you know his last name after he got adopted, you could try the phone book for that city. There should be an online version of it. Thats all I can say. Hope I helped. Good luck.

Firstly, it's important to know whether your son is actually aware that he was adopted - do you know if his adopted parents would have told him?
You could also post messages on the internet, and put flyers up around Devon - in hospitals, police stations, towns, etc. People who see it may know him and contact you.
Some resources/websites that you may find helpful:
www.devonline.gov.uk
www.ancestory.co.uk
www.ukbirth-adoptionregister.com
www.lookupuk.com
Best of luck to you

This is a very hard situation.. Many times youg adults feel that they want to know more about themselves... Although he loves you as much as any other mother he still wants to know his biological mother and why did she give him up... You need to give you son some time to think all of this over. He will always love you but maybe he needs to know who he is and were he came from...

You need to go to Plymouth and find him yourself.
Put his name all over the web, someone will know him.
