Hi there

not quite sure what you mean but there are large organisations such as the British karate governing body. They can provide support for insurance, gradings, competitions, syllabus etc. Personally I think they restrict the martial artist and make lots of money for doing very little. My advise If you want to register go straight to the source! Japan!

I do karate! I do karate! I'm in the UK doing karate with a shotokan group but nobody so far as i know supports us. I do it in London and what do you mean by help? Sponsrships can take place I'm sure. Ask your Sensei first. Don't go on to Yahoo Answers!

Try local businesses. My last employer used to sponsor one of the local karate clubs. Usually with Tracksuits and money for sending competitors to competitions. Unfortunately for me the club was a different style and I didn't stay locally anyway. Ironically one of their most successful competitors was also one of the shop floor employees and due to various injuries (training and competition) he had an above average sickness record and was warned by his line manager that he should consider making a choice between his job and his karate. He chose karate and went on to study sports science at college.

Depends where your "playing" karate. Ask at the dojo or tournaments that you "play" at. If your a self taught masterless samurai then get onto the national lottery they'll throw money atya.
