Free will is a good thing. It is what we as individuals do with it, that can be bad or good. It is a good thing because it shows GOD does not want all of us to be carbon copies, "all the same." It gives us the opportunity for uniqueness.
Some people enjoy singing and have beautiful voices to belt out the lyrics. Others may have the ability to write the poetry or lyrics to create the song.
My point is... Not all of us have great voices, but we hold other illuminating, good qualities we can share with others...
We also have different types of things we enjoy to do, could you imagine if we all looked alike, and did the same things?
Free will is a gift from a loving GOD who gave us many flowers, to see touch and smell... HE gave us animals all so different to enjoy...
He gave us oceans, not just lakes...
Beautiful question. Yes free will is good, and only hinders if used incorrectly for some form of malice.

It's a good thing.
Being like a robot would be outright unhealthy for the mind! God made us so that we could make our own decisions and distinctions about him. He provided us with the things we need to survive, and some things just because he is such a loving God.
By following his simple commandments, having free will is a good thing, never a hindrance.

Everything in the natural state is good.
Free will is the natural state of the pure eternal spirit soul by which expression of love and service is there.
Artificial is not good and misuse of the free will is artificial and therefore hindrance to the natural function of the soul.
So, free will used naturally is good and used artificially is bad.

It's a good thing, however one must choose wisely. God promised "he" would never destroy us again, however he has given us the ability, smarts, free will to destroy ourselves. :) Sometimes I wonder with all we do why he puts up with us and loves us so unconditionally, then I remember that's just who he is, Gos is love. Than a feeling of overwhelming peace fells my heart and I cant help but worship him. Wow now that's a rush.

It all depends on what each person chooses to do with his or her free will decisions. Thus it can be a help or a hindrance.
As an aside, I'd love to get a free will....I've been shopping around and these lawyers charge a fortune.

that's not really the point - our free will means we have the opportunity to learn from our mistakes. Has it been a good thing? In the short term no, in the long term yes

its a good thing, because God gave us free will to act for the good of the afterlife, because He won't punish an evil person if He didn't give him the free will. so we are responsible for the way we exercise out free will

It is a good thing. Would you really want to be pre-programmed and walk around without free will.

For mankind and the worldly things, it's good. Spiritually, it can be a hindrance, because we are given the option to sin, which can hinder our ability to be with God.

Hi, this is Chad at the Crisis Center. We appreciate your call. We here at the center believe without free will, there can be no opportunity to learn from one's "mistakes". Thanks for calling and have a nice day.
