Maybe some household stuff, things you just can't run a household without. Even if it is small, a gift like this will show her you support her moving out, and want to help. A box of kitchen utensils, some pots and pans, or something to make something she really likes. For instance, a cookie freak might get cookie sheets, a spatula...
Maybe some money, it will help with the moving, and start up expenses.
Maybe some nice keepsake jewelry. so she remembers you still love her, even though she is moving out.
All three would be really nice, according to your budget. a nice note, like this: Dear Daughter, I love you, and I am so happy for you, now that you are beginning your new life away from your mother, I will miss youu, and I support you in every way. Here is some money, to help finance your first residence. Here are some kitchen utensils, your first homewarming gift, to help make your residence your home. And here is a birthstone necklace, to remind you that I love you, and you will be always be my favorite guest in my home.
Hope this helps.

Leslie, since you seem to be well-off, why not the whole family go on vacation to celebrate your daughter's graduation? Go someplace where you can get a change of scenery from where you currently live. Everyone likes to travel abroad, especially if Dad and Mom were paying the bills. No kidding!! A vacation is also appropriate for the simple reason that your daughter is moving out. Don't you wish that you could savor the last moments of being together?

I'm graduating in May also. I had much rather have a practical gift. A piece of jewelry isn't going to help me in the "real" world...is it? I suggest you get her what she needs.
However, this would be a good idea to....a scrap book. It might sound cheesy and over done, but it really isn't. I would love if my mom made one for me!

After graduation I moved out also, and my parents gave me a nice set of luggage. I am still using it 13 years later, so it has really been a great gift for me!

You I know laughed when my parents bought me a set of very nice personalized luggage for graduation, at first I thought "oh yeah, kick me out of the house," but you know what? I still have that luggage and it has come in handy time and time again. Plus, nice luggage is expensive and not something I would have though to buy on my own.
Good luck!

How about a nice locket with a picture of her in kindergarten or first grade... That will show her how much you cherish her and the memories of her being a young girl entering school for the first time and now graduating from college,

Honestly speaking, one of the neatest gifts you can give a graduate is the Dr. Suess book called "Oh The Places You'll Go". It means alot and has much significance. Get it, read it, you'll see. It wont cost much, but the "message" it gives speaks volumes!! Give it a try!!

Luggage is a nice gift. Computer. Jewelry. Money (but intended for something she needs). Where will she be living and what does she need? Talk with her and get some ideas.

Give her Money. That way she can pick out her own household stuff. Jewelry is nice ,but money is more practical.

I'm a practical girl, so I'd prefer something useful for this transition (household items, money, etc.) You know your daughter best. If she's practical, she might agree with me.
