Does God get his jollies by intelligently designing prey animals for predators to slaughter?

Why do people assume a human is the predator I'm referring to?

no, you get an animal, then another sees a form of protein and evolves a way to eat it, then the prey evolves a way to hide or defend itself, thats how it happens.

Love your Boxer! They're my favorite!!

Anyway, to answer your question. It was not God's original purpose for animals to be prey for man or other animals. It was not until after the flood that God gave Noah the permission to use animals as food.

Gen. 9: 1 - 4 "And God went on to bless Noah and his sons and to say to them: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth. And a fear of you and a terror of you will continue upon every living creature on the earth and upon every flying creature of the heavens, upon everything that goes moving on the ground, and upon all the fishes of the sea. Into your hand they are NOW given. Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. As in the case of green vegetation, I do give it all to you. Only flesh with its soul - its blood - you must not eat."

The bible has promised a time when it will be back to God's original purpose. At Isaiah 11: 6-9 "And the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be learder over them. And the cow and the bear themselves wil feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his hand. They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea."

I'm looking forward to the fulfillment of that prophecy!

Deer are clean animals that were put on this earth for us to hunt and eat. Thankfully I have never hit one with my car but now that I say that I had better watch out, huh. The cycle of life is very intruging to me. It does say in the bible that there are the clean and unclean and that any animal that had a split hoof and chew the cud..now it has to be both, is clean. We are to eat these clean animals that man has not improved upon because anything man has improved is not good for us. It also says that origionally Adam and Eve were to work the land (garden). So, anyone who chooses not to eat meat is also blessed.

What was your question? lol

Not everything could eat plants, than there would be no plants left. Because of this somethings eat other things, and in this situation deer are the prey for other creatures like wolves, bears, coyotes and humans.

God does give us dominion over animals and plants. Aren't plants living things too? Is food necessary?

I was wondering why everyone just assumed you meant humans, you never said that word.
Anyway I don't know if anyone has it out for deer....it's just survival of the fittest.

God doesn't, but humans do. Humans have free will, god doesn't design them to be killing machines, he's actually against it.
