i always feel like before taking a big step into a realtionship, i should get to know the guy.
Dont worry though-there are many guys out there who will understand your sentiments so don't waste your time over a guy who doesnt!

why should it matter to him what you do on the first date? you said you've been dating him a while. obviously he wasn't into you very much and you should consider yourself better off without him and move on.
